Structural calculation for aluminium windows, doors and sliding systems
For high-rise buildings and large openings, windows are no longer a catalogue choice. We verify profiles, reinforcement, glass and hardware against the actual wind load.
Why it matters
Catalogue values usually assume standard sizes and a specific wind class. On tall buildings, coastal sites or sliding sashes over three metres, they may not be enough. The result is excessive deflection, sashes that will not close, and air and water leakage.
We check wind load, frame and mullion deflection against the EN 12210 class (A: L/150, B: L/200, C: L/300), reinforcement, glass thickness and hardware capacity for heavy sashes.

- EN 14351-1
- EN 12210
- EN 1999-1-1
- DIN 18008

Wind load
Design pressure by height and location, including corner zones.
Deflection
Relative frontal deflection by EN 12210 class plus stress checks.
Reinforcement
Required inertia and steel or aluminium reinforcement.
Glass
Glass thickness for wind load and pane size.
Hardware
Track, roller and hinge capacity for heavy sashes.

Window, Door & Sliding Systems
Do you calculate every window separately?
No. We group positions by span and load and calculate the governing cases, then report results for all positions in one table.
